On the well known road Camí de Missa, where Santa Eulària opens out to the sea, sandwiched between green hills and whitewashed façades, Crown Square offers an understated way of living in Ibiza, within the heart of the town. Two white buildings, designed to catch the Mediterranean light, are arranged around an inner garden with a pool conceived as the social heart of the project and a place to slow down.
The architecture is all about clean lines and warm details: glass balustrades, screens that filter the sun, and planters that bring greenery into the everyday landscape. Inside, continuous porcelain stoneware flooring, thermally broken aluminium frames and an aerothermal climate-control system all contribute to a quiet sense of comfort and contemporary efficiency.
Below street level, a shared underground garage links the two buildings and provides parking spaces and storage rooms. This frees the homes from the burden of extra cupboards and keeps the outdoor space dedicated to gardens and relaxation. Above, walkable roof areas become panoramic terraces where you can host long dinners, work in the open air or simply let time drift by.
The Homes
The 38 two and three bedroom homes at Crown Square have been designed around light and the way space is used on a day to day basis. Calm, high-quality finishes, careful detailing and considered orientation of the rooms allow for generous natural light and high energy efficiency. Many of the homes open onto terraces or private roof decks places to extend daily life outdoors and look over Santa Eulària with a little distance and a lot of ease.
Location East Coast of Ibiza
Santa Eulalia, the third-largest town in Ibiza, remains a safe, year-round haven for families. There is a total ban on nightclubs and late-night venues, and the town offers an excellent theatre, great sports facilities, a cinema, a Blue Flag beach and a wide variety of shops, restaurants and gyms. Very popular with British, Dutch and German visitors, its main square is lined with pretty fountains cascading from the Town Hall down towards the seafront promenade.
15 minutes from Ibiza Town, and 20 minutes from the airport.
Highlights
Contemporary design with thermally broken aluminium frames and double glazing.
Penthouse apartments with generous private roof terraces and open views over the town and the sea.
Porcelain stoneware flooring indoors and non-slip paving in outdoor areas.
Heating, cooling and domestic hot water via individual air-source heat pump systems with integrated ducting.
Landscaped communal garden with swimming pool and relaxation areas.
