Venían de Las Matillas y convivían con aquello todas las tardes.
Aquí desapareció.
Y, aunque parezca absurdo, al principio lo echaron de menos.
Luego te cuento qué era.
Aquí vivís juntos, sin estar revueltos.
Tienes tres dormitorios en dos plantas. Los propietarios utilizan el de abajo como despacho, pero si tienes dos hijos puede ser el dormitorio de uno.
Cuando crezcan quizá agradezcan no tener sus habitaciones puerta con puerta.
Los tres tienen armarios empotrados.
También tienes un baño completo arriba y un aseo abajo.
Dos lavabos. Dos retretes.
Mientras uno se ducha, otro se lava los dientes y tú terminas de prepararte.
Porque si evitas el primer atasco dentro de casa, quizá también evites el de la carretera.
Y llegues puntual al colegio y al trabajo.
Pero aquí hay un lugar donde probablemente quieras perder el tiempo.
La terraza.
11 m² al oeste, con pérgola, toldo frontal y sin otra vivienda justo enfrente.
Tú miras cómo el cielo cambia de azul a naranja mientras el sol desaparece detrás de la Sierra de Gredos.
Aquí el propietario corrió dos medias maratones durante la pandemia.
Y su hijo aprendió a montar en bicicleta.
Si compras la casa te dejarán algo con lo que han sido muy felices.
Una hamaca.
Bajas el toldo, colocas el proyector, preparas palomitas y tienes cine de verano.
El toldo es la pantalla.
La hamaca, tu primera fila.
Y las estrellas te miran desde arriba.
Les gustaba tanto que acabaron quitando el televisor que sacaban a la terraza y el de la habitación de su hijo.
¿Por qué un ático en vez de un bajo?
Porque una terraza está para disfrutarla, no para esconderte.
Aquí nadie que pase por la urbanización mira hacia dentro ni necesitas levantar una cárcel de celosías para conseguir intimidad.
Y ahora algo que no luce tanto en las fotos como en tu factura de gas.
Las ventanas.
El aire entraba por el marco del dormitorio y el mirador amanecía algunos inviernos “llorando” condensación.
Cambiaron la ventana por una de dos hojas, cristal de 5 mm y rotura de puente térmico, además del mirador.
Se acabó la condensación, gastan menos gas y, según los propietarios, consiguen hasta dos grados menos dentro en verano.
También cambiaron la caldera por una de condensación hace tres años.
Tienes aire acondicionado en salón-comedor y dormitorio principal, además de cuatro ventiladores de techo.
Bajas a la piscina, te das un baño y vuelves a una casa fresca.
Y tus hijos pueden bajar al parque infantil, hacer amigos y jugar sin que tengas que coger el coche para llevarlos a ninguna parte.
Los tienes cerca y controlados desde casa.
Ellos ganan libertad.
Tú, tranquilidad.
La lavadora y la caldera están en un tendedero independiente para que el centrifugado no participe en tu película.
Los baños se actualizaron hace un año.
Las paredes están lisas desde 2017.
Al parqué le toca acuchillado y a la casa pintura.

You have three bedrooms over two floors. The owners use the one downstairs as an office, but if you have two children, it could be one of their bedrooms.
When they grow up, they might appreciate not having their rooms door-to-door.
All three have built-in wardrobes.
You also have a full bathroom upstairs and a half-bath downstairs.
Two sinks. Two toilets.
While one is showering, another is brushing their teeth, and you are finishing getting ready.
Because if you avoid the first traffic jam inside the house, maybe you\'ll also avoid the one on the road.
And you\'ll arrive on time for school and work.
But there is a place here where you will probably want to waste time.
The terrace.
11 m² facing west, with a pergola, front awning, and no other home directly opposite.
You watch as the sky changes from blue to orange while the sun disappears behind the Sierra de Gredos.
Here, the owner ran two half-marathons during the pandemic.
And their child learned to ride a bike.
